Privacy policy

This policy explains what information the FLOPS game and this website (flops-idle.com) collect, and what we do with it. FLOPS is made by Taylor Software ("we", "us"). The short version: the game doesn't ask who you are, and we only get your email address if you choose to give it to us.

The FLOPS game

What stays on your device

• Your game progress, settings and the optional activity log are saved on your device. We don't receive them.
• Notifications are scheduled on your device. We don't run a notification server.
• The game doesn't need an account and doesn't ask for your name, email or location.
• The game doesn't include analytics or advertising tracking.

Optional on-device AI narration

If you turn on narration, the game downloads an AI language model file to your device. The download comes from a third-party file host, which will see a normal download request (such as your IP address). After that the model runs entirely on your phone: the text it writes is not sent to us or anyone else. Narration is off unless you turn it on.

Feedback from the game

"Send feedback" in the game opens your own email app. If you send the email, we receive your message and your email address, and use them only to read and reply to you.

Purchases and ads

If the game offers in-app purchases or optional rewarded ads, purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and we don't receive your payment details. If we add an ad provider, we'll update this policy before it ships to say who it is and what it collects.

This website

• Launch list. If you sign up to hear about the launch, we store your email address with our email provider, Resend, and use it only to tell you about FLOPS. Every email has a way to unsubscribe, or you can ask us to remove you.
• Contact form. If you send a message, we receive your name (if you give it), your email address and your message, delivered by Resend. We use them to reply to you.
• Hosting and analytics. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies and without tracking you across sites. Cloudflare processes standard request data (like IP address and browser type) to serve and protect the site.
• The site doesn't use advertising cookies or trackers.

Sharing

We don't sell your information. We share it only with the service providers named above, so they can do their job for us, or if the law requires it.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep launch-list addresses until you unsubscribe or the list is no longer needed, and messages for as long as we need them to help you. To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email us using the contact page.

Children

FLOPS isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us their information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters, such as adding a new kind of data collection to the game, we'll make it clear here before it takes effect.
